Our electric brakes are rigidly welded with additional stiffening beams placed across the top and bottom of the rear C-frames. Less twisting and deflection means less compensation necessary.

Guideways and ball screws are designed to last the life of the machine. Lubrication via a few grease fittings once a year is all the maintenance required.

Laser Precise, Inc. is a service-oriented job shop for metal fabricated products, based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Their focus is on pressed metal products consisting of blanked and formed shapes and special assemblies. The strength of the company is its application of advanced (CNC) technology that includes laser cutting and press brake systems. Though Laser Precise owns an old mechanical press brake, they purchased a new all-electric press brakes when they made the decision to build a Flexible Manufacturing System, (FMS).

Laser Precise's brochure also details their computer-controlled all-electric press brake forming capabilities. It reads "Laser Precise's programmable digitally controlled press brake is state-of-the-art. The CNC monitors the ram during the forming stroke and features automatic adjustments to ensure precision bending and superior repeatability. Precision-ground beds permit "stacking" dies to reduce set-up time and increase productivity [while] holding tolerances of ±0.005 in bending with ±0.002 repeatability..."

Since 1990, our focus and our interests have been primarily in the rapid part production," says Ken Barks, president of Laser Precise. "We have done a variety of things for many industries: automotive, general industrial, some recreational, and a variety of other unique things."
